2025 Global Broiler Industry: Key Trends & Outlook

Based on USDA data, the global broiler industry achieved robust growth in 2025 amid HPAI, geopolitical tensions, and rising consumer demand for safe, healthy protein.

Production

Global broiler production reached 107.554 million tonnes (+3.22%), the fastest growth in 5 years. The top four producers—U.S., China, Brazil, and EU—accounted for 60.70% of global output. China led growth at 5.54%. Emerging markets (Turkey, Colombia, etc.) expanded rapidly.

Technology & Policy

Breakthroughs in digital breeding (ChickenGTEx, GCRP), low-carbon feed, novel vaccines, and smart farming (IoT, unmanned houses) upgraded the industrial chain.

Outlook (2026)
